Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of HireShorts and its related services. By creating an account or using HireShorts, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

HireShorts provides a one-way video interview platform for recruiting consultants. The service allows consultants to create interview packs from job descriptions, invite candidates to record video responses, and share those recordings with hiring managers via secure links.

You are solely responsible for obtaining informed, explicit consent from candidates before inviting them to record video interviews. You must clearly inform candidates that their video response will be shared with a hiring client and that recordings are deleted after 7 days.

5. Intellectual property

HireShorts, its branding, and platform content are owned by HireShorts. Candidate video recordings remain the personal property of the candidate. You may share recordings with hiring managers for legitimate hiring purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, or repurpose them.

6. Service availability

HireShorts is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes to the service with or without notice.

7. Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraud, or misuse the platform. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a credit refund.

8. Limitation of liability

HireShorts is not liable for hiring decisions made using information from the platform, for the content of candidate video responses, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered accounts.

Refund Policy

Effective: May 2025
All credit purchases are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

Once credits are purchased they cannot be refunded, including but not limited to the following situations:

Why credits never expire

As a trade-off for the no-refund policy, purchased credits never expire and remain in your account indefinitely, regardless of account activity.

Platform fault disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error due to a verified fault on our side (for example, credits were deducted but the interview link was never generated), contact us at support@hireshorts.ai within 7 days of the transaction with your transaction ID and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. A verified platform fault may result in credit restoration — not a cash refund.

Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments. HireShorts does not store card details. Disputes with your card issuer or payment provider do not override this refund policy.

Data Retention Policy

Video recordings are permanently deleted 7 days after upload. Share or download recordings before they expire — they cannot be recovered.

Account and interview data

Why 7 days?

Short retention minimises privacy risk to candidates and encourages timely hiring decisions. If your hiring process requires longer access, download the recording before expiry and store it in accordance with your own data protection obligations and applicable law.

Your data protection obligations

If you download and store candidate recordings outside of HireShorts, you become the data controller for those recordings. You are responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws, including obtaining appropriate consent, limiting use to the stated hiring purpose, and deleting recordings when no longer needed.

Security

Video recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). Share links are cryptographically signed access tokens — only people with the specific link can access a recording. Access is not publicly indexed.

HireShorts is designed exclusively for legitimate recruitment use by professional recruiting consultants. The following uses are prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.

Candidates have the right to request that their recording not be shared beyond the intended hiring manager. Honour such requests promptly.

If you believe someone is misusing HireShorts — including a recruiter misusing a candidate's recording — contact us at support@hireshorts.ai. Candidate complaints are treated with priority and handled within 2 business days.
